A Smarter Future with Integrated Waste Management
Our eco-conscious waste processing facility integrates organic composting, plastic recycling, and zero-landfill targets to preserve Tabanan's natural ecosystem.

Preserving the natural purity of Tabanan's black-sand beaches, coastal river streams, and verdant rice terraces is at the core of Ciputra Beach Resort's environmental vision. Today, we share details of our Integrated Waste Management & Resource Recovery System, designed to achieve zero-landfill targets across our 60-hectare masterplan.
Through state-of-the-art sorting facilities, community composting programs, and strategic partnerships with local environmental NGOs, Ciputra Beach Resort is taking concrete actions to protect Bali's fragile ecosystem.
Core Pillars of Our Eco-Waste System
1. Source Separation at Every Residence
Every cluster home, resort suite, commercial retail outlet, and beach club facility is provided with color-coded waste separation receptacles:
- Organic Waste (Green): Food scraps, garden trimmings, and biodegradable materials.
- Recyclables (Blue): Clean plastics, glass bottles, aluminum cans, and paper product packaging.
- Residual Waste (Grey): Non-recyclable items processed through high-efficiency energy recovery.
2. On-Site Organic Composting Hub
Organic waste accounts for nearly 60% of daily residential refuse in tropical environments. Our specialized composting facility converts kitchen and landscape waste into nutrient-rich organic compost. This compost is directly reused across our public parks, botanical gardens, and green buffer zones—closing the nutrient loop naturally.
3. Circular Economy & Plastic Recycling Partnerships
In collaboration with Bali-based recycling initiatives, collected inorganic materials are sanitized, compressed, and routed into upcycling streams. High-density plastics are repurposed into eco-timber benches, outdoor walkway pavers, and coastal barrier materials used within the resort grounds.
Measurable Environmental Impact Targets
| Environmental Metric | Target Milestone (2026–2027) |
|---|---|
| Organic Waste Diversion Rate | 85% Converted to Nutrient Compost |
| Plastic Recycling Efficiency | 90% Processed into Upcycled Goods |
| Total Landfill Diversion Goal | Zero Unprocessed Landfill Waste |
| Resident Participation | 100% Villa Community Onboarding |
